a playbook to try
I accidentally created my dream community using ChatGPT.
Introducing Forish, the community where members pretend to be trees
Here's how a bot could design, and even launch, a community...

Ok first, let's see if a bot can effectively invite members to a new community.
Note how it makes the community about "a new way of life" without me telling it to.
That's some really compelling language.

Now if someone joins, the bot will need to welcome them...
Jesus… “never be a sap”?! That’s brilliant.
I love how it encourages them to "fully embrace your tree identity." It's instilling a social identity right in the onboarding flow.

Now, I wonder how good the bot would be at engaging members.
These questions are deep and reflective. It would definitely drive engagement. I love it.

To drive even more excitement, let’s find some creators and influencers we can invite to do a Q&A in the community…
This is so good! How did I not know about these people before?

What about events? This sounds like a perfect community for a big global gathering.
brb, about to become a certified tree climber
This is definitely my dream community.

Of course, with in-person events, bots will be limited in how much they can do.
Perhaps the bot could recruit an organizer and invite community members to self-organize events.
Uh oh, our community has it’s first troll! How will the bot handle this one?
This stuff is pretty mindblowing.
It takes years to develop these kinds of communication skills.
